The KMD DTF Halftone Separation Studio is a browser-based artwork preparation tool designed to help DTF printers remove unwanted garment-color backgrounds, gray haze, dark boxes, and other tones that should allow the shirt to show through.

How It Works

1. Upload your artwork.
2. Select the shirt color.
3. KMD automatically uses that shirt color as the primary knockout target.
4. Review the Clean Shirt Preview, Before / After comparison, White Underbase, and Transparency Check.
5. Export your print-size transparent PNG at 300 pixels per inch.

The license may not be transferred, reassigned, shared, sold, gifted, loaned, rented, sublicensed, published, or provided to another person or business. A separate license is required for every additional user or business.

Legitimate device replacements require an activation reset through Keyboard Man DesignZ. Customers do not receive a self-service device-transfer option.

Terms of Use

You may use exported artwork files commercially for your own printing business and for products you create for your customers, provided you have the legal right to use the uploaded artwork. You may not copy, share, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or provide access to the KMD DTF Halftone Separation Studio, its code, or licensed access.

You are responsible for having permission or legal rights to use any logos, photographs, trademarks, copyrighted artwork, or other materials uploaded to the Studio.

The Studio is an artwork-preparation tool. Final print results may vary based on source-art quality, RIP software, printer, ink, film, powder, fabric, curing, heat-press settings, and production workflow. Always inspect transparency and underbase output and test print when appropriate.

The Studio creates files at the selected print dimensions using 300 pixels per inch and adds approximately 300 DPI PNG resolution metadata. Enlarging low-resolution source artwork cannot recreate missing image detail.

Automatic separation is designed to assist artwork preparation, but complex gradients, shadows, haze, and colors similar to the garment may still require visual inspection before production.
